NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR | CHAIRMAN
Paul is the former National Managing Partner of Grant Thornton’s Australian Financial Advisory and Consulting practices and Chair of its Sydney office. An expert in restructuring, governance, strategy formulation and implementation, he now supports a number of Boards and executive leaders throughout the Asia Pacific region in both non-executive and advisory roles. A keen yachtsman, Paul is the Immediate Past Commodore of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, organizing authority of the iconic Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, and still works actively with Australian Sailing to improve governance and risk mitigation practices in the sport.

Darren Schuback, leads The Whiskey Project Group as Chief Executive Officer, driving the strategic and operational direction across the entire group, including the multiple acquired and developed businesses and product brands. An award-winning Australian entrepreneur, Darren founded the group in 2019 driven by a mission to create the next generation of tactical watercraft for performance, safety and capability. Darren leverages over 24 years of operational and leadership experience in the Royal Australian Navy and ADF Special Operations and is professionally renowned for ‘making it happen’, converting plans and strategies into successful outcomes.
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Major General (Ret'd) Paul Kennedy is a key addition to the Board of The Whiskey Project Group's United States operations. With decades of experience in the United States Marine Corps, he brings invaluable expertise in both combat command and the strategic nexus between politics and defense policy. Prior to his retirement in 2019, Paul served as the Legislative Assistant to the Commandant of the Marine Corps, and his career includes nearly 10 years deployed overseas as a commander of various infantry units. His deep understanding of the US defense and government landscape, combined with a strong network in Washington and throughout the USMC, has been pivotal in TWPG's expansion into the US market. Paul's leadership and strategic insight prove invaluable as the company continues to deliver next-generation watercraft to the US and its allies.
NON-EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
John is a retired manufacturing executive who has led vertically integrated vehicle and power train operations at Harley-Davidson and was the Chief Operating Officer of one of the largest recreational vehicle manufacturers in the United States. He served as an infantry and reconnaissance officer in the US Marine Corps and retired from the reserves as a colonel. John was appointed by the US President and confirmed by the US Senate to serve as the Assistant Secretary of Labor for veteran employment. He is currently on the board of YMX Logistics and a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors.

Stephen Lukens is an accomplished business leader and professional advisor, bringing decades of experience from his roles as a retired Big Four Advisory Partner and a Fortune 500 operational leader. As a Non-Executive Director for The Whiskey Project Group USA, he leverages a well-rounded perspective on finance performance and deal strategy to guide the organization's strategic growth. With significant expertise in mergers and acquisitions, finance transformation, and business restructuring, Steve is currently focused on assisting in the establishment of a US production facility. His history of starting, growing, and transforming profitable businesses, combined with an action-oriented approach, is instrumental in balancing innovation and risk to achieve success and scale for The Whiskey Project Group's operations in the US.

Paul Arcangeli is a distinguished national security professional and government relations strategist with over 35 years of experience in military, government, and the private sector. As a Non-Executive Director for The Whiskey Project Group USA, he leverages his deep expertise in defense policy and legislative strategy to guide the organization's strategic growth. A former Staff Director for the U.S. House of Representatives Committee on Armed Services, he advised House Leadership on national defense goals and oversaw the legislative process for the annual Defense Authorization Bill. His extensive background as a U.S. Army officer and his work on the National Security Commission on Emerging Biotechnology provide a unique understanding of the operational needs of the Group's clients and their complex missions.
